Bacon Topped New England Clam Chowder & House Side Salad

If you are from St. Augustine, chances are that The Great Chowder Debate is on your “must attend” list of events. For 30 years thousands of chowder lovers have gathered at The Conch House Marina and Resort on the first Sunday in November to sample chowders from local restaurants to benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children.

This year was the first entry for Viola’s, and we had a blast. There were a lot of repeat customers for our entry: Bacon-topped, New England Clam Chowder. We also provided samples of our home made white Sangria. The feedback was awesome and it was great exposure for the restaurant.
